This summer continues to be a very busy one for the church family here. People's House was remodeled and is now back to serving families in their time of need. Tyler and Jennifer Ellis have arrived to begin a new chapter in our campus ministry, Blue Hens for Christ. They each bring new insights and talents to the work here and Newark and we are excited that to have them! See a pic of Tyler and Jennifer below.

People's House
More than 150 people attended the Grand Re-Opening of People's House Sunday, July 11, 2010! The next day, all five bedrooms were occupied with people who live out of this area but whose loved one was in the hospital here. We are thankful for the opportunity to entertain strangers who come our way. Thanks to the many people who donated time, work, goods, and money to give People's House a fresh and updated look.

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.' Matthew 35-40 (ESV)
